Limerick Lions host American High School

This week promises to be an exciting one for Limerick Lions as the club hosts the Academy Charter High School basketball team from New Jersey, USA. Events kick off with an open coaching session by Academy Charter coach Sean Heeter on Wednesday at 2pm in Limerick CBS gym.

A much anticipated friendly game will take place at 8pm on Wednesday evening in St Clements college gym between the Academy Charter High School team and a Limerick Lions u18 selection with some guest players. The US players and coaching staff will be hosted by Lions club members during their stay in Limerick.

It is hoped that this week’s events will mark the start of a long-term link up between Lions and the New Jersey High School, with the prospect of a return visit to the US by the Lions next season.
