The BasketballIreland Summer Jam 2007 was hosted by Limerick Lions Basketball Club at the UL Sports Arena on Saturday 4th August 2007.Part of Baskteball Ireland’s ‘cultural diversity’ programmes, the day was a great success for all those who attended. There were 3 on 3 competitions at U14, U18 and Senior as well as a 3-point free throw competition for each age group. Matt Hall gave a talk on living and working in Ireland, and The Irish - Polish Institute paid a visit to the day’s events in Limerick, and really highlighted the cross cultural nature of the event.The winners during the day were as follows: U14 - 3 on 3 Steelers (Paul, John, Mark & Niamh) U14 - 3 point shoot out 3 point line - Cian Brennan 2 point line - Mark Shiels U 18 - 3 on 3 Lakers (Andrew, Jeff, Aaron, Bobby) Senior 3 on 3 Lions (Neil, Kate, Mike & Stephen) Senior 3-point shoot out Stephen King. |
