A very successful day was had by all who played and took part in our recent golf classic on Sept 14th We were blessed with one of the few good dry days this year. Charleville Golf club looked after us very well, both on and off the course. A total of 24 teams entered for the day. This was our second annual golf classic and it is hoped to build on this in future years. The much needed money raised is used to develop the Limerick Lions Basketball Programme. The winners were First Place Roger O’ Mahony’s Team of Michael Morrissey, Dermot Sheahan and Paudie Fitamaurice. In second place was Castlepark Motors Team of Mike Byrnes, John Fielding,and Dan Deady. Third Place were Earthtec team of Seamus Ryan, Mary Keane, Dave Keane. Fourth were John Hannon’s team Of John Hannon, glen Stackpoole, Philip Naughton. The Prizes were presented in Bobby Byrne’s and a good night was enjoyed by all with complementary food been kindly provided by Robert himself. |
