The Limerick Lions u12s won the 2007/08 North Munster League Final, defeating the Ennistymon Cascaders 11-8 in a tense affair in the UL Arena on Sunday, 20th April. The Lions u12s achieved a memorble victory in a closely fought game. Some excellent baskets were scored by Michael Hickey, Shane MacNamara, Luke Ryan, Ronan Howlin and Diarmuid O' Shea. And Cian Collins held his nerve very well for such a young player to score a crucial free-throw to secure victory close to the end. Shane MacNamara particularly caught the eye with a man-of-the-match performance at point-guard. Also notable was a great defensive display by the Lions boys, with Aaron Madden, Eoin Fahey, Cian Collins and Connor Cullen particularly effective in this area. Mathew Sutton, Renzo Quimbo, Luke Cunningham, Stephen Clancy and Hugh O' Neill also played their part in a hard-earned victory.
