Limerick Lions got a bank holiday booster (Mon 27th Oct 2008) with a home win against Tralee Tigers. The game ended with the Lions ahead 81 to 67 at the University Arena. Limerick controlled the game for long
stretches, yet Tralee fought the good fight.

The Jungle King's had an 18 point advantage at half time with solid work from their squad, although losing Tom Canavan to a clash of heads early in the 2nd quarter. Tralee battled to the end but were not able to eat into the Limerick lead and coach Sasa Punosevac ran in his bench in the last quarter.

Limerick had solid performances all round, good contributions from all their players, with Sean Coffey leading the scoring ranks on 25. Limerick coach Sasa Punosevac was able to run his full bench in the last quarter thus getting the younger players some good experience.

Limerick Lions have Ulster Elks in Limerick next Sat, 1st Nov at 7.30pm, UL Arena.
