Lions U16's put up a brave battle but came out second best to Lakers this afternooon. 

Lions started the game well with some early scores from Theo Giannopoulis and trailed by only one point after the first quarter. In the second quarter Lions Liam Collins, Luke Ryan and Diarmuid O'Shea got on the scoreboard and kept the Lakers on their toes.

Into the second half the Lakers started to pull away despite good work by Darragh O`Connor and Cillian Fahey. Shane McNamara and Andy Coyne did their best to claw back the Lakers lead, but Lions couldn`t get back into the game, and Lakers ran out winners in the end.
