Our U18 men’s team travelled to Cork on Thursday 2nd December to play Neptune in a pre-season friendly.
The game was basket for basket in the first quarter with some excellent scores from Danny Shahab and Liam Price. At half time Lions were 5 points down, but some super scoring under the boards from Michael Fahy in the third quarter saw the Lions pull away from Neptune.
Alfie Mc Coy contributed some excellent 3-pointers and Alan Fitzgerald put some serious defensive pressure on the Neptune lads, forcing turnovers and gaining some nice easy baskets for Lions. All of the Lions players who came off the bench worked hard on both offense and defence. Oskar Dominski added some nice baskets in the fourth quarter finishing up with a final score of 97-74 in Lion’s favour.
